Last Call - Cape Horn Bar

Inspired by “Larry Marr” and the related “Big Five-Gallon Jar” song tradition, this design steps into the darker side of the old waterfront. Across different versions of the song, a tavern keeper and his accomplices use a suspiciously potent five-gallon jar to help supply undermanned ships with unwilling sailors—men who come in for a drink and may wake up well on their way around Cape Horn. The names and ports change between versions, but the shanghai game remains at the heart of the story.

Our Cape Horn Bar imagines the moment just before somebody makes a very poor decision. The jar is full, the barkeep is ready, and Death himself seems to be calling for one more round. “The Last Call” is part sea-song reference, part waterfront warning, and a nod to an era when the wrong drink in the wrong bar could lead to a considerably longer voyage than you had planned.
